We believe learning through playful inquiry is the foundation for intellectual, 物理, 社会, 情感成长. Play-based learning allows children to engage their minds, 组织他们的想法, and store information using all of their senses.

Teachers capitalize on the curiosity and enthusiasm of our young learners. Our program encourages students to learn best by doing. Students are provided with the skills, 工具, 材料, and attention they need to experience, 探索, and experiment with their surroundings. Teachers assist them in planning, organizing, and discussing observations of the world around them.

幼儿园 and 1st graders at Maumee Valley learn how to think deeply, 问问题, 倾听别人的想法. Maumee Valley's 75-acre campus allows teachers to take learning outside. Students can be found strengthening fine and gross motor muscles and 社会-emotional skills through climbing, 建筑, 挖掘, 一起工作, 在森林里解决问题. Maumee Valley's 幼儿园/1st grade curriculum builds on the outdoor learning program of the 在读幼儿园之前 and 初级幼儿园 program by continuing to immerse students in nature. 幼儿园 students enjoy three hours every Friday exploring Maumee Valley's 75-acre campus.
